Copyrights

Copyrights seem to be alright. It is great that people like to make money, but at the same time it is kind of crazy to think that you "own" something but you really don't "own" it like you thought. At the same time, the people that sold the product want and need money so that they can produce or make more of the product, so sharing it can be a bad thing all around preventing people from making money and making more product. Its hairy, and that's the way it is.

Websites

The online app. that I saw that seemed to be the best was the spreadsheet with google doc. I'm not really that sure how much I'd use the other ones. Stating resources and having a nice bibiliography could be nice, so I'll have to play around with that one a bit to see if I like it or not. I like technology and computers and everything, but sometimes I guess that I'm just old fashioned sometimes. The google doc could be nice for teaching and more so coaching to have students post times and how they are improving. It could be a good tool as a coach to let the student know and myself know of their progress throughout the season. They may not be the best athlete on the team, but they easily could be the most improved, and that is great.

Comp goals

Well, I used to think that I was fairly good on a computer, but as of late, my luck has changed. While I was in HS I was the yearbook editor and we did everything digitally, so I thought that I knew my way around a program or two. Low and behold, after a two year mission my computer skills are HORRIBLE! Some day I might be as savy on a computer as in the past, but probably not. From this class I'd like to remember all of the crazy things I used to know from my HS years doing things digitally, but now not just with still pictures, but with movies. Hopefully my powerpoint skills can go up a little too, seems how girls like guys with skills, which means I hope my wife likes me more with these skills, because she is way better at this stuff than me.

About me

Well I'm from Petersburg, Alaska - an island town of around 3,200 people or so. I served a mission in Curitiba, Brazil and it was one of the best experiences I have had. Almost a year after I got home from my mission I got married to my sweet heart who wrote me a couple of letters while I was out of the country.
I have always loved running around and playing random games, hence why I am going to be a gym teacher and coach. I still haven't decided what I really want to coach though, which is a big decision. My wife thinks I should do basketball, and I think it would be great! Only problem is that I never really played basketball, except in elementery school if that even counts as anything. The oppurtunity would be great to be a basketball coach though, so I will probably get into a bunch of basketball classes here at the Y and learn a lot of stuff about it before I really make my choice.
Well, if anyone has any questions, shoot! Or any comments on what I should coach I'd appreciate the ideas. Any basketball tips work for me too.

Andy Marsh's PLE

Well I think we would all agree, this is very complicated and we really have no idea what we are doing. Maybe some day when we are all gym teachers we will remember this day, and see that we can still communicate with each other over this system and tell one another crazy fun things we are doing with our kids. Who knows, maybe, maybe not.
